The Story Behind Rooted
The journey to Rooted began with a passion for developing potential - both in sports and life. As an Olympic athlete, I've experienced firsthand how discipline, hard work, and guidance can transform abilities into achievements. But beyond competing on the world stage, my true calling has always been inspiring others, especially children to discover their strengths and capabilities.

In 2012, I started an athletics academy in Bloemfontein. Over four years, we nurtured young athletes, helping them grow not just in sport but also in confidence and character. It was during this time that I realized the importance of creating an environment where kids feel empowered, celebrated, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Rooted isn't just about physical activity, it's about planting the seeds for lifelong growth. With Rooted, I aim to create a nurturing space where children can build confidence, develop coordination, and learn the values of teamwork and resilience with programs that fill the gaps left by traditional children's programs.
This program is a way of giving back - of using my journey, from the Olympics to coaching, to help the next generation grow strong and rooted in their potential. It's not just a business; it's a passion and a legacy.
